Adobe Firefly vs Midjourney (2026)
Midjourney is #1 on our images list and Firefly is #4. Midjourney is the one people pick for beautiful, art-directed images. Firefly is Adobe's creative app: its own models are trained on licensed Adobe Stock and public-domain content, its results flow straight into Photoshop and Premiere, and it also lets you run partner models from Google, OpenAI, Runway and others in the same place. So it comes down to taste-first versus workflow-and-safety-first.

| Paid plans | Paid plans with a monthly allowance of generative credits; prices weren't readable from Adobe's plans page, so check adobe.com | Basic $10/month, Standard $30, Pro $60, Mega $120; 20% off if you pay yearly (per docs.midjourney.com, Oct 22, 2026) |
| Commercial use | Adobe calls its own Firefly models commercially safe, and outputs carry Content Credentials (per adobe.com/products/firefly, Oct 22, 2026) | Allowed on every plan; companies making more than $1M a year need Pro or Mega (per docs.midjourney.com, Oct 22, 2026) |

FAQ
Midjourney for the best-looking images. Firefly if commercial safety, Adobe app integration, or a free plan matter more. Midjourney is #1 and Firefly #4 on our images list.
No. Midjourney's plans page says every plan is a subscription: Basic is $10 a month ($8 a month billed yearly), Standard $30, Pro $60, and Mega $120. Firefly does have a free plan with daily generations.
Midjourney allows commercial use on all plans, but companies with more than $1M a year in gross revenue must be on Pro or Mega. Adobe says its own Firefly models are commercially safe because they're trained on licensed and public-domain content. If you use a partner model inside Firefly, check that model's terms, since Adobe lists them separately. This isn't legal advice.
Yes. Generative Fill, Generative Expand, and image generation run inside Photoshop using Firefly, and Firefly results can be opened in Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and Adobe Express. They draw on the generative credits in your Adobe plan.
Use Ideogram, #2 on our images list. It's built to spell words correctly on posters, logos, and thumbnails, and it has a free plan.
