Lovable vs v0 (2026)

Short answer: Pick Lovable if you can't code and want a finished, shareable app with hosting and a database handled for you. Pick v0 if you want clean React/Next.js code that syncs to GitHub and deploys to Vercel, and you're happy to look at that code. Both have free plans, so try your idea in each.

Both are prompt-to-app builders: you describe what you want and they write the app. On our vibe coding list Lovable is #4 and v0 is #6. The split is mostly who they're built for. Lovable hides the plumbing so non-coders can ship an MVP that's live on day one. v0 comes from Vercel and leans toward people who want real frontend code they can keep, edit, and deploy on Vercel's platform.
